Spring out of Winter and celebrate Farmers opening in Rangiora

The festival is racing beyond being the dream of the organizing group and is only a few weeks out from reality. Sponsors and supporters are coming on board, the events and activities are being booked and scheduled, and all the detailed planning that goes with an event of this scale is well and truly underway.

All festivals need the key ingredients of timing, planning, sponsorship, the events and activities, and last but absolutely not least—the people; our community. This festival is absolutely designed to bring our North Canterbury community together in a massive celebration.

The Timing The festival organisers say that the timing for a community celebration was right. “We wanted to celebrate that a refreshed, revitalized and rejuvenated Rangiora was open for business and looking fabulous—new shops, new lanes, new buildings and a new super Farmers Store complete with escalator. We even have traffic lights!” There is certainly a spring in the step with all the positive changes going on and so ‘we wanted to Spring out of winter and into a new look Rangiora’.

And this will become an annual Festival. We have no doubt that it will grow, be looked forward to and anticipated by the North Canterbury community.
