Richard has spent a large part of career in a corporate environment where he was predominantly involved in disputes and complaints management.  This involved working with both the business and customers to find win/win, interest based solutions utilizing mediation and negotiation based methodologies.


Richard has a passion for communication and finding the right words for maximum impact both orally and in writing.


He has been the Master of Ceremonies for major national conventions and award evenings and has been the convener for regional conventions and photography exhibitions.


Richard is the President of the Rangiora Photographic Society and has organized countless photographic trips to as far afield as Stewart Island.


He recently developed a Medieval Evening banquet and wrote a play especially for the evening.


Richard is now turning his communication skills to freelance writing and incorporating his passion for photography.


He has had articles published by Fairfax Media, The Greymouth Star, Chill Publications and has provided work for Flourish Outsourcing and Karikaas Cheese.


Richard feels absolutely privileged to be part of the Farmers Rangiora Festival Team and part of what is going to be a fabulous event for the North Canterbury Community.
